HERE ARE THE FIVE BEST PLACES TO VISIT ALONG THE GORGEOUS CORNISH COAST FOR A GREAT DAY OUT
The coastline of Cornwall is like nowhere else in Britain. The views are on par with the best coastlines in Italy, but Cornwall has its own unique charm with rugged cliffs, sparkling seas and beautiful scenery. The southwest coast path surrounds the whole county, so you can explore all of Cornwall’s coastline.
Cornwall has much more to offer than just picturesque views and world-renowned beaches. It has its own unique character, steeped in history and mystery, with charming villages and seaside towns that are worth a visit.
From bustling historical towns filled with places to try the delicious local food to the magnificent beaches and coves, there is something to please everyone, and don’t forget your camera to capture some stunning seaside pictures.

- IVES
The iconic St Ives harbor is a must-see when visiting the town – it’s full of history and tradition, and you can watch the trawlermen at work. I also recommend checking out the area’s gorgeous beaches, with their turquoise waters and white sands.
St Ives is a traditional town in Cornwall, England, and is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious Cornish cream tea with lots of clotted cream and jam. You can also get some great fish and chips by the water, but watch out for the seagulls!.

Kynance Cove
Looking at this gorgeous cover from the South West coast path has to be one of the most stunning views in Cornwall. Set on the Lizard Peninsula on the South coast, the azure blue sea against the white sand littered with rock formations is simply breathtaking.
One of the best things about low tide is that you can go down and explore all the caves and rocks that you normally wouldn’t be able to see. Make sure to get there early so that you can enjoy the peace and quiet of swimming around without having to worry about the crowds.
Kynance Cove is a beautiful bay that has recently become more popular due to being published on social media sites, such as Instagram. If you’re looking to avoid crowds, we would recommend visiting this stunning bay out of season. The scenery is just as gorgeous, and you’ll get to enjoy the sandy beach all to yourself.
Port Isaac
This 14th-century vibrant little fishing village on the North Atlantic Coast of Cornwall is picturesque and beautiful. You may recognize it as the setting for the tv series ‘Doc Martin’. The harbor is so lovely, surrounded by houses built into the surrounding hills..
The whitewashed cottages and narrow cobbled streets take you back in time to a centuries-old fishing village. You can watch the fishermen bring in their catch or wander the streets, taking in the history and culture that surrounds you.
The coastal path provides stunning panoramic views and is best explored on foot, starting from one of the car parks located near the top.
Port Isaac is also where the sea shanty singing group the fisherman’s friends started and on certain dates throughout the year, you can still hear them singing live around the town.

St Michael’s Mount
St Michael’s Mount is a tidal island on Cornwall’s south coast that’s home to a 14th-century castle, its own harbor, and picturesque gardens. One of the most popular Cornwall attractions, it draws visitors from all over to explore its many charms.
The towering cliff and castle perched atop it are an incredibly romantic sight when seen from the sea. But there’s more to explore than just the pretty view from afar. Once you make your way to the top, you’ll find a variety of shops and restaurants to keep you busy!
St Michael’s Mount is open to visitors in the summer months and can only be accessed by boat or by the famous causeway. It boasts fabulous views across Mounts Bay to Lands End and The Lizard.
Be sure to take your camera to this one and make sure you plan your trip well as you can only walk across a few hours either side of low tide, otherwise you can capture a boat taxi across during set times.

Towanroath mine shaft at wheal Coates
Towanroath mine shaft is a beautiful and very scenic location right in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It’s a great place to visit on the north Cornish coast, you can visit the old mine workings of wheal Coates and bathe yourself in the old mining history of Cornwall.
Continue further down the cliff to find the stunning National trust restored Towanroath mine shaft. The mine shaft is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the Cornish coast and out to the Atlantic ocean.
This location is a real must-visit for anyone wanting to take in a scenic view, get a bit of exercise, and emerge yourself in a bit of local history.
