One of the biggest differences between a traditional SUV and a crossover SUV is the way they are constructed. An SUV is based on a truck platform while the crossover SUV is based on a car platform. In other words, an SUV is constructed by putting parts on the frame while a crossover SUV is a unibody or a one-part vehicle. Due to this, crossover SUVs have experienced a rise in popularity.

As Japanese cars are known for their efficiency and high quality along with their value for money, Honda CRV and Nissan Rogue, in particular, have taken a spotlight.

Exterior and Interior Dimensions

While the vehicles in the same category seem to be of a similar size and weight, that is not technically true. There are some differences in measurements which can usually result in the interiors being roomier than the others.

The Honda CRV’s height and length are about two inches smaller than the Nissan Rogue. However, Nissan Rogue has a higher ground clearance than the Honda CRV, meaning to get into the vehicle, you will have to go a little higher. Furthermore, Honda CRV seems to focus on providing more legroom for the rear passengers, while the Nissan Rogue put its focal point to make sure the driver and the front passenger have more space. Both the vehicles have roughly two inches of difference in the rear legroom and the front legroom. While the rest of the measurements remain more or less the same for both cars including, the cargo space which is 39.2 cubic feet in the Honda CRV and 39.3 cubic feet in the Nissan Rogue.

As both the cars are of similar dimension, this round comes to a draw.

Price

At the end of the day, your vehicle of choice can have great features, but it won’t do you any good if it is out of your budget. As prices tend to fluctuate from dealership to dealership in the automotive industry, there is something known as the MSRP. This stands for Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price. This is usually what the price of the vehicle should be, it can be slightly lower or slightly higher but usually within the range of it. If it is too high, then you are likely being charged unfairly if it is too low, then there is a strong possibility the vehicle is not up to standard.

The MRSP of Honda CRV is $29,060 and for the Nissan Rogue, it is $28,220.

The basic warranty for both vehicles is the same: three years per 58,000 Km. The same is true for roadside assistance as well.

Considering that both have almost the same price points and the basic warranty is also the same, this round is a draw, as neither is better than the other. Check out Nissan Rogue and Honda Price Ghana for your local listing, to make sure you are getting a fair deal and are not being ripped off.

Features

Both vehicles have Bluetooth connection, keyless ignition and satellite radio. While the adaptive cruise control is available in the base model of Honda CRV, it can be found in the higher trims of the Nissan Rogue. Similarly, while the parking assistance is available in the base model of the Nissan Rogue, it can only be found in the higher trims of the Honda CRV. Furthermore, heated seats are a luxury found in both, the CRV and the Rogue, while the cooling or ventilated seats are not present in either of them.

Also, to note, the Honda CRV’s interior comes in multiple colors including, grey, black and ivory. The interiors of Nissan Forte, however, are only available in black and almond colors. On the other hand, the Honda CRV provides eight colors selection including the classic, black, white, grey, red and blue, while Nissan Rogue provides nine colors including a vibrant orange and a pearl white.

Again, as both the vehicles have similar features, this round comes to a draw.

Conclusion

Both Japanese cars are extremely similar. They have the same measurements and the same features, all at a similar price point. So, the choice will be down to personal preference and which car suits your need more.
