From a very young age, Munday Martin has always been surrounded by music. As his father was in the music business, touring with Dolly Parton, Martin had plenty of time to get enticed by the art, which led to him falling in love with music as a whole. He began to get more into music with his friends in school as well. Mostly listening to hip-hop music of the late 80s and early 90s, Martin became indulged with the genre for quite some time before getting involved in the alternative genre of music.
“I got lost in alternative music in a good way. When I was 16, I found punk rock, and my life was never the same. I remember collecting vinyl records of all my favorite punk music on 7 inches and LPs when vinyl was not even a trend. I spend countless hours of my life moshing and stage diving in concerts,” says Martin. Breaking the molds was his hot pursuit and punk music was his cure.
Channeling his earlier days and the feelings that music gave him, Munday Martin is now looking to create that same feeling through his own music. “I want to help give people chills by taking them back to retro sounds that grew up in the 80s and 90s, while at the same time, breathing fresh air into these various genres currently making a massive comeback with the youth with fresh originality,” mentions Martin. He hopes to create melodies that get trapped in your head and wanting to come back for more.
For Munday Martin, his musical journey has had quite the switch of direction multiple times. Through thick and thin music has always been his go-to and now he aspires to be the artist that others can lean on when they’re in need. He shares his life experiences through his music and gives his fans an inside look at his life. There is no doubt that his pure intentions and hard work ethic will continue to take him to great lengths. Be sure to tune into Munday Martin if you haven’t already as he is well on his way to becoming a big-time star.
