Fitbit has unveiled a slew of new features for its Charge 5 fitness tracker and related devices. The latest version includes an electrocardiogram (ECG) app, a Daily Readiness Score function, and the Blood Glucose Tracking tool, which was previously unavailable in India.

App for electrocardiograms (ECGs)

When the Fitbit Charge 5 was released in September, it did not offer an ECG function. However, the tracker will be the first in the series to have an on-device ECG app that takes up data from your heart rhythm for atrial fibrillation on the wrist.

Holding your fingertips to the stainless-steel panels on the sides for 30 seconds while keeping still will provide you with a reading and a more in-depth understanding of your heart health.

Blood Glucose Monitoring

Diabetic Fitbit users in India may now measure their glucose levels and observe how they fluctuate throughout the day. Users may track their blood glucose readings and create personalized goal ranges to compare and analyses how external factors like activity, sleep, and food consumption affect their glucose levels over time.

Fitbit Premium customers will be able to view how frequently their sugar levels fall inside their goal range over a 30-day period in a future release.

Daily Readiness Index

The Daily Readiness Score is a new premium-only tool that analyses Fitbit data to assess if you are ready to exercise or should focus on recuperation. Every morning, your Fitbit gadget analyses your day activity, heart rate variability (HRV), and sleep patterns to prescribe a healthy routine.

A high score suggests that you are ready for a higher-intensity workout, whereas a low number indicates that you are tired and should relax. Fitbit Premium subscribers who own the Sense, Versa3, Versa 2, Luxe, Inspire 2, or the newest Charge 5 devices may now access the Daily Readiness Score function.
