There’s nothing myself and the family like more than getting out into the great outdoors, experiencing nature and everything it offers first hand. One of the best parts of camping for us are the evening barbecues that we enjoy, with everyone spending some much-needed quality time together. It’s for this reason that I decided to splash some cash and invest in a Colman camping stove.
I looked around online for a while, as I wanted to take my time and get the right stove and the first thing I noticed about the one I ended up buying was its 2-in-1 design. Its clever arrangement allowed me to use the stove and the grill at the same time – a godsend when the kids are all complaining about how hungry they are after a long hike!

Awesome Wind-Blockers
Another great design aspect that led me to purchase this particular Colman camping stove was the really helpful wind-blockers it featured. Higher winds can result in your evening meal taking forever to cook, but with these metal blockers in place, your cooking flame stays nice and untouched.
When the wind isn’t blowing, however, these wind-blockers also have a double purpose, meaning that they can be opened out to create two really useful fold-down side tables – perfect.
Cooking Perfection
What I couldn’t tell for sure when researching online was the actual cooking performance offered by my soon-to-be-delivered Colman camping stove, as I was keen to see just how good its PerfectFlow technology was. Reported to offer a consistent flame even when the weather is on the extreme side, I could wait to see how it fared.
I didn’t need to worry one iota, as it performed every bit as well as I’d hoped for and there was even enough stove space to fit our 10” pan.

Our Campsite Mealtimes Are Now Even Better!
All in all, my new Colman camping stove is everything the advertising said it would be and more. Dual burners, a rust-resistant cooktop and a really handy removable grease tray all contribute to a product that has made our campsite mealtimes even more enjoyable than they were before.
At just $100, it didn’t make a big hole in my budget, but despite this, it has taken all of the annoying parts of cooking outside out of the equation. In fact, the control my new stove offers is quite similar to what you’d get on a kitchen cooker.
There are a number of things that you can invest in when it comes to improving the camping experience, like tents, sleeping bags and solar showers, but for sheer value for money and the biggest impact for your buck, I can’t recommend anything higher than this nifty little stove. If you like those family al fresco meals as much as we do, then I just know you’ll adore it just as much as us.
