Netflix has reduced the cost of its membership plans in India, bringing the total cost of all Netflix plans down. From the most costly 4K HDR Premium plan, which has been reduced to Rs. 649 from Rs. 799, to the mobile-only plan, which has been reduced to Rs. 149 from Rs. 199. Netflix is not the only streaming provider that has changed its pricing plans. Both Amazon and Disney+ Hotstar, both of which provide streaming services, have raised their prices, with Amazon’s Prime yearly subscription cost jumping by 50% as of December 14.

Netflix has lowered the rates of all four tiers on the site after adjusting its plans on Tuesday. Shows may be viewed and downloaded in 480p resolution on one mobile phone or tablet for Rs. 149 per month on the basic mobile-only plan. Netflix provides a Basic plan with 480p resolution for Rs. 199 per month if consumers desire Chromecast functionality or wish to view series and movies on their PC. The Netflix Standard plan costs Rs. 499 per month and includes 1080p (full-HD) video for up to two devices, while the Netflix Premium plan costs Rs. 649 per month and includes 4K HDR content for up to four devices.
Hotstar + Disney
Disney+ Hotstar’s plans were also altered early this year, and consumers may now choose between three options based on their needs. The basic, mobile-only package costs Rs. 499 for a year and allows customers to watch TV and movies in 720p resolution on their cellphones. The Super plan is more expensive at Rs. 899 per year, but it works on two devices and allows for 1080p streaming. Hotstar now provides a Premium subscription for Rs 1,499 per year, which includes 4K content and access across four devices. The Super and Premium plan supports 5.1 channel audio, but the mobile-only plan only offers stereo.
Apple TV+ is a subscription service that allows you to watch
Apple TV+ costs Rs. 99 per month and comes with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. Users who subscribe to Apple One, the company’s all-in-one subscription service, can get Apple TV+, 50GB of iCloud storage, Apple Arcade, and Apple Music for Rs. 195 per month, or the Apple One plan for their family for Rs. 365 per month, which includes 200GB of storage instead of the 50GB on the individual plan.
