In December, Oppo will release a software update for its Enco X, Enco Air, and Enco Play true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, which will include capabilities previously only accessible on the Enco Free 2 and Enco Free 2i. The Double-Tap Camera Control feature, which allows users to shoot photographs or record videos by double-tapping the earphones, is one of the most significant upgrades. The Oppo Enco Free 2 will also get a new software update that will provide the dual-connection capability, allowing you to link the earphones with two smartphones at the same time.

The software update for the Oppo Enco X, Enco Air, Enco Play, and Enco Free 2 will be published in China on December 1, according to Weibo. However, reaching people all around the world may take some time. The Enco X, Enco Air, and Enco Play will be able to use the Double-Tap Camera Control functionality that was first introduced on the Enco Free 2 earlier this year. By double touching the earphones, users may record films, take a group photo, or take a selfie. Oppo has implemented Double-Tap Camera Control a feature that is only available on its handsets that run ColorOS 11.3. To use the gesture control, users must first launch their phone’s default camera app.

The Oppo Enco X earbuds will come with the Personalised Sound Boost function, which was previously only available on the Enco Free 2. It adjusts the music playing based on the sensitivity of your ears using a software algorithm. ColorOS, Android 6.0 and later, and iOS phones are compatible with the Personalised Sound Boost function. To use the customized treatment on a phone that isn’t running ColorOS, you’ll need to download the HeyTap app. Oppo is also bringing the Enco Free 2 earphones, which were released in May, up to date. Dual-connectivity capability, which is now available on the recently introduced Enco Free 2i, will be included in the update for the new Enco model. It will be activated by default, allowing users to connect their headphones to several devices. Both ColorOS and non-ColorOS smartphones may use the functionality, however the latter requires the HeyTap app. The proprietary app is also where all Enco earbuds get their software updates.
