Is the Redd zone based on a true story?

The Redd Zone is based on a real story. Dominic Redd passed away when he was 15 years old. According to BET, Redd was brutally attacked and slain with a knife by three Latinx teenagers who had previously made derogatory statements about him. The Redd Zone will be devoted to the late actor and the community he left behind, which was adversely impacted by his passing.

The executive producer and former MLB and NFL player Brandon Magee’s mother is Tia Magee.

His closest friend was Redd.
