Shabam, also known as Shubham Parmar, was born, and raised in a middle-class family in India. During his time in India, he experienced some of his darkest days. He lived in a society that only valued the career paths in engineering and medicine which made his pursuit of music very challenging. He found it very difficult to follow his dreams as they were something completely different from what he was taught to do, making him feel very alone. However, he persevered through these challenges to follow his dreams and his natural talents. He started his love of music when he was 3 and he honed his natural singing talent. He has relocated to Los Angeles and has been there for the past 3 years. Here, he continues to make music with the support of his parents.
Shabam is an independent artist who works hard to create hits by composing his own music and working with his producer, Katsuya Sezaki, who plays a big role in all his success. He holds strong value in doing what makes him happy, believing in himself, and self-love. He strives to portray these ideals through his music for his fans. Shabam feels strongly that if you are passionate about something, you can make it. The only thing is you always have to be patient, nothing happens overnight. If it happened that way, you would never appreciate anything in your life. He believes his own struggles have helped him appreciate everything he has in his life and wants his fans to see this in themselves. He wants his music to show that money and fame can be blinding. Focusing on your goals and ambitions will be how you achieve happiness and success in your life.
His music seeks to inspire others to be their best selves and never give up on their passions. He draws his own inspirations from artists such as Freddie Mercury, Prince, Yabba, Tori Kelly, and many more as well as from his personal experiences. He hopes one day to be able to collaborate with Tori Kelly who he feels matches his ideals of being genuine and true to herself. He currently has a single out titled “I Bow to You” which was released on the first of October. He is currently recording another song which he anticipates being released in the upcoming months.
