Stephen’s Witch Boss, who finished second on the American version of So You Think You Can Dance, passed away at 40. He hosted The Ellen DeGeneres Show from 2014 till the show’s finale in 2022 as a co-host.

In a statement to People, Boss’ wife, Allison Holker, confirmed the news, saying, It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to reveal my husband Stephen has left us. Each space Stephen entered was illuminated. Above all, he emphasized his relationships with his family, friends, and the community. He believed that the key to success is to lead with love and light. He was the center of our family, the best husband and father, and an example to his followers.
It would be an understatement to say that he left a legacy, and his beneficial influence will still be felt, according to Holker. There won’t be a single day that we won’t remember him. Please respect our need for secrecy during a trying time for our three kids and me. We adore you, Stephen, and we will always save the last dance for you.
From 2014, Boss served as the Ellen DJ until 2022, when the daytime talk show ended. His executive producer title came from DeGeneres in 2020.
Boss made his Hollywood debut.
Boss entered Hollywood after placing second on So You Think You Can Dance(American TV series). After performing in movies like Blades of Glory and Hairspray as an extra dancer, he started getting bigger roles like Step Up 3D and Magic Mike XXL. Along with Step Up All In, Modern Family, Ghostbusters, Love, East Los High, Bones, Touch, and Famous in Love, Boss has also appeared in these other shows.
His Career
He choreographed for the K-pop artists Seven and Big Bang at the beginning of his
career. Later, Boss went on to co-found CLI Studios, a company that provides top-tier
online dance classes with choreographers.
Boss studied dance performance at Southern Union State Community College before moving to Chapman University. He was born and raised in Alabama. In 2013, he wed Holker; together, they had three kids. The couple presented Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, a Disney+ docuseries.

On December 10, 2013, Twitch and Allison Holker, another SYTYCD alumna, exchanged vows at Nigel Lythgoe’s Villa San Juliette Vineyard and Winery in Paso Robles, California. He also adopted Weslie Renae Holker, Holker’s daughter. Their son, Maddox Laurel Boss, was born on March 27, 2016.
His Death
Boss’ wife, Allison Holker, alerted officers at the Los Angeles Police Department on December 13, 2022, that he had behaved unusually by leaving their home without his automobile. After receiving a call of a shooting at a hotel in Los Angeles, police discovered Boss there, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
