The Electric Safari at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has once again been rated among the top 10 zoos in Colorado and the United States for zoo lighting.
The USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards named Electric Safari as having the third-best zoo lights in the country.

Electric Safari is closed on Christmas Eve, December 24, and runs through Sunday, January 1, 2023.
“50 acres of glittering lights,” “85 artisan-made light sculptures,” and “breathtaking nighttime city views” are some of the attractions at Electric Safari, according to CMZoo. This year, attendees can save $5 off each ticket to Electric Safari by going on a “non-peak day.”
Seniors, members of the military, and those who belong to the zoo receive discounts. Through Friday, December 23, Santa will also be available for pictures at the Safari Lodge daily from 4 to 8:30 p.m.
According to CMZoo, Electric Safari also serves as a significant source of revenue for the zoo, with proceeds from admissions going toward “animal care, Zoo operations and renovations, and conservation projects.”
