If you are one of those who have finally decided to take the step to grow a beard for the first time, this post is for you. Congratulations on leaving the dark (and conventional) side and welcome to the light side of the force!
Best way to grow your beard for the first time?
When you grow a beard for the first time, you are a bit lost, it has happened to all of us. He does not know very well how to grow a beard, how to soften a beard? or what to do to make it grow perfect, he has no idea how it will turn out in the end, or how long to wait to determine if he is on the right track.
But do not worry, we are here to give you a series of tips (priceless we believe) so that at least you learn from our experience and play with a certain advantage.
I wish we had once had someone to guide us with our first beard (I particularly would have saved myself more than one and more than two dislikes, which ended in full shaving and starting over) to get our first beard to grow.
HOW TO MAKE MY BEARD GROW FASTER:
Each beard has its own rhythm and tempo, so don’t be obsessed with how fast it grows. It is true that massaging and brushing the beard stimulates watering and helps its growth, but it does not have the same effect on everyone.
Obsessing over it will only create expectations that may not be met at first. I assure you that in this initial phase, the worst that can happen to you is that you fill your head with false expectations. Go step by step and be realistic.
Don’t get obsessed with the look of your new beard either, don’t be in a hurry, and don’t judge it ahead of time (or allow others to).
Do not expect miracles overnight, patience and perseverance is essential to achieve a great and envied beard.
TRIM YOUR BEARD:
It is natural that as soon as you see that the hair begins to shape your new beard you will be tempted to start shaping it, applying small adjustments and trims.
Don’t do it, give it time and let it continue to grow. Our advice is that you do not start making small cuts before their first month of life, forget it, there is nothing to cut.
And as for the big cuts (after the first month of life of your beard), remember that a beard needs at least three months to be able to be trimmed and groomed as God intended.
If there is not enough volume, it is not possible to shape it and you will not be able to know how your facial hair grows. Trust us, forget about adjusting any shape (if small but minimal tweaks) until you have enough volume and length ( three months is a reasonable time under normal conditions ).
BUY BEARD ACCESSORIES:
Buy accessories for your beard before having it is an exclusively motivational issue for when the moments of doubt arrive (that will come), that investment helps us to persist.
It is not necessary to make a large investment (we do not recommend it), but an investment in beard accessories is enough to serve as a stimulus to continue with your great mission when forces weaken.
The mental mechanism is the same that you set for yourself (yes, we do too) when you join a gym and pay two months in advance to force yourself to go.
Use the same trick with your beard, invest in it so that when moments of weakness and doubt come, it will be more difficult for you to back down.
We recommend you buy all these things for your beard.
- A beard oil.
- Some scissors.
- A comb or beard brush.
- A small bottle of facial moisturizer. You can use it at any time and it will help you during the itchy and stinging days of the first weeks.
- A beard soap is not essential in this first phase when the beard is very short, you can use a neutral soap or shampoo as we will discuss later.
2 WEEK BEARD:
It is very likely that two weeks after you start growing a beard, the first setback will begin: the itching will begin.
The positive part is that this stinging and itching phase will not last long (usually a week or ten days ).
To mitigate itching, wash your beard more frequently, always using neutral soaps (the beard is still very short, and for now it is not necessary to invest in a beard soap).
This phase is the perfect time to begin to become familiar with beard oil, a product that you have to learn to handle (it is not complicated but it has its trick), and that will be a great ally throughout the life of your great beard.
RELIEVE ITCHY BEARD:
Use beard oils that contain Jojoba extracts to relieve itching and Vitamins, which in addition to relieving itching, will hydrate the skin under the beard, making this first setback more bearable.
And get used to the idea, it will itch, you will feel strange with that incipient hair that appears on your face and yes, it will itch but think that this is only a phase that lasts a few days and that will allow you to know the oils for beard, you can learn more to master them and explore new fragrances and textures.
