Chuck Turner was 45 years old and 693 pounds when he began his weight loss journey on My 600-Lb Life in 2014.
The relationship between the Beaumont, Texas resident and his wife, Nissa, was strained since they were more like a carer and a patient than a husband and a wife.
Nathan’s adoptive parents are Chuck and Nissa. Chuck said he was not overweight as a youngster but began to gain weight around 30. After his first wife was murdered in 2006, he resorted to eating to help him cope with his depression.
Chuck then married Nissa, and they finally underwent weight loss surgery after obtaining advice from Dr Younan Nowzaradan, also known as Dr Now.
Nissa left Chuck because she thought he was not supportive of her and was venting his frustrations on her. It aided Chuck in turning his Life around and winning her back. Nissa returned to him when he was having surgery to remove huge lymphedema from his leg, and they reunited.

Chuck also started going to church regularly, where he felt a feeling of camaraderie.

Chuck has been turning down a lot of work because he was too fat for the position. Chuck can now get up on the flatbed truck unaided rather than relying on his competitors to assist him. Chuck was trying to expand his firm and recruit staff to keep up with the current work. Chuck’s Facebook profile shows he is still in business in 2023.

Where Have They Gone in My 600-Lb Life? Chuck said on an episode that his pals put him up on a blind date with a woman called Erica. He exclaimed that it had been love at first sight for him. Erica stated that they both believed God had brought them together. Chuck and Erica tied the knot. He referred to her as the greatest blessing in his Life and stated that she was her true second chance. He promised to do things correctly this time.
He pledged to be the man he needed to be, to lose weight, and to achieve his ambitions. Chuck’s relationship status on Facebook indicates “Divorced” as of 2023. Considering he publishes posts regularly, it is safe to believe that his profile is up to date, and he is most likely no longer married to Erica.
Chuck’s My 600-Lb Life path was challenging and upsetting at times. He had to say goodbye to Nissa and Nathan, but he was able to rebuild his Life and find new love. While it did not endure, it taught him that it was possible to live again. Chuck should be pleased with himself. His tale is motivational and can benefit others.
