WhatsApp is not slowing down and adding new features to its messaging app in an effort to improve user experience. According to WaBetaInfo, the messaging app will soon receive message responses.

Popular apps such as Instagram and Twitter already offer message reaction features to their users. According to the latest report from WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp has now received it. In case you are not aware, the feature will allow you to react to messages with emoji icons, which is similar to how you can react to posts on Facebook.

To send emojis on Instagram, you just need to long-press a message and choose from any of the available emojis. After you have selected your favorite, you will receive a notification from the recipient of the message with the same reaction. WhatsApp may offer this feature in a similar way.

The choice of emojis for Instagram and Facebook will vary from Instagram, but it is unknown if they will be the same. According to the source, those using an outdated version of WhatsApp will not be able to use the message response feature.

A message will be displayed by the messaging app advising you that your version does not support reactions. The user will not be able to see the reaction in this instance and WhatsApp will prompt you to update the app to the most recent version.

This feature will be first available for Android users of WhatsApp, and then later for iOS users. According to the source, the feature is in development and will be available in a future update.
