X-Men ’97 Video Announces Major Update For Marvel Show

X Men movie

A new behind-the-scenes video for Marvel Studios’ X-Men ’97 has been released. X-Men ’97 will be Marvel Studios’ first project based on the mutant squad. X-Men ’97 continues where the original X-Men: The Animated Series left off. The animated TV programme is planned to air on Disney+ in the fall of 2023, according to a new behind-the-scenes video.

Cal Dodd, the voice of Wolverine in X-Men ’97, announced on Twitter that filming on X-Men ’97 season 2 had begun.

Dodd has already removed his post, indicating that the actor released the material sooner than Marvel desired. The cast of the X-Men ’97 programme is already working on season 2 before season 1 even premieres, which is not surprising given that the animated series was renewed last year. But, a fresh wave of Marvel Cinematic Universe speculations has called the future of Marvel’s animated series into doubt, with Dodd’s video ensuring X-Men ’97’s survival for the time being.

How X-Men ’97 Ties Into The MCU’s Mutant Plot

Marvel Studios is actively preparing the framework for the X-Men to make their MCU debut. Yet, it looks that the studio is first honouring Fox’s efforts on the mutant property before introducing the MCU’s unique take on the X-Men. According to the concept, the upcoming X-Men ’97 animation would reintroduce legendary X-Men characters like Gambit, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Beast, and others to the larger MCU audience, with the programme featuring authentic representations of the popular comic book characters.

X-Men: The Animated Series was the first to usher in a new wave of Marvel Comics mutant fans.

The original animated series ended in 1997, thus the revival’s moniker, X-Men ’97, barely three years before Fox released the first X-Men live-action film. With Marvel Studios employing its Multiverse Saga to bring famous X-Men characters from the Fox X-Men films to the MCU, such as Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, X-Men ’97 is set to play a role in Marvel’s plans for the mutants.

It has become evident that moviegoers should not expect to see the original X-Men in the MCU until the Multiverse Saga closes with the highly anticipated event film Avengers: Secret Wars. The MCU has been setting up the X-Men since the enigmatic identity of Evan Peters’ character in WandaVision — who was not his prior Quicksilver part from the X-Men reboot film.

The discovery that Kamala Khan is a mutant rather than an Inhuman is accompanied by the legendary X-Men: The Animated Series entrance music. The Fox X-Men world will have one more outing, as X-Men ’97 and other MCU hints prepare for the arrival of Marvel Studios’ own mutants.
