Samsung has come forward and has already released its latest software update for the Galaxy S24 series. This comes with important new features in the devices’ photographic capabilities. The update was scheduled for February 22nd. But it is already accessible in South Korea, with several improvements for Samsung’s new top-of-the-range.
Based on the feedback collected since the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has strived to improve issues related to the camera and the screen. With the February update, the company was able to improve the overall quality of images, adjusting the brightness in scenes with high-intensity light sources and improving the clarity of text at high zoom levels. However, these latest improvements are exclusive to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Night exposure and subject definition improve on Galaxy S24 cameras
For video enthusiasts, Samsung promises superior quality when capturing videos with the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s rear cameras. This improved exposure in dark areas and the definition of human subjects in scenes. Food mode now displays brighter, more inviting colors, and capturing fast-moving objects has been optimized, especially in backlit conditions.
In addition to the capture improvements, Samsung has also focused on the post-capture experience. Improved the quality of images when enlarging in the Gallery app. This will be especially noticeable in those that are photographed in DNG format using the Expert RAW app.
Samsung says it will continue to optimize camera performance on the Galaxy S24 series, with more updates planned for the future. Now that the update has been made available to users in South Korea, it will be a matter of days before it can also reach global users, including Portuguese users.
