The galaxy S22 series was just announced by Samsung. It’s the company’s newest flagship smartphone, and it’s getting its first software update now that customers who pre-ordered the devices have begun receiving them.
For those who aren’t aware, the South Korean tech giant’s latest premium handsets have shattered pre-order records in a number of regions around the world. Samsung has released a new firmware update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra to coincide with the arrival of the Galaxy S22 series on customers’ doorsteps. S90xEXXU1AVB3 is the firmware version that is currently being rolled out in Afghanistan and Egypt.
In addition, additional countries will most likely begin receiving this update in the coming days. In some countries, the new February 2022 update may even come pre-installed on new smartphones. Samsung says that the new software update includes the February 2022 security patch, as well as more than 60 fixes for privacy and security flaws found in Galaxy phones that Samsung has found.
To put it another way, if you own a Galaxy S22 and live in one of the aforementioned countries, you can see if you’ve received the new update. To see if you’ve received the update, go to Settings > Software Update. Once there, hit Download and Install to see if you’ve received it.
