Sharon Osbourne has returned home after being admitted to the hospital on Friday for a medical emergency.
Her son, Jack, announced her release from the hospital on his Instagram account on Saturday, expressing gratitude for others’ “love and support” for his mother.
“Her medical team has earned her and she is currently at home,” Jack tweeted. “As for what happened to my mother, I’ll leave that to her to reveal when she’s ready.”
According to Jack, Sharon had a medical crisis while filming the family’s Travel Channel series The Osbournes: Night of Terror.
The Ventura County Fire Department verified to The Hollywood Reporter that an EMS team responded to an emergency call at the Glen Tavern Inn on December 16 at 6:30 p.m. and that a patient was transported to Santa Paula Hospital. Don Aguilar, chief of police in Santa Paula, confirmed to THR that the patient was Osbourne.
Osbourne, 70, is a TV personality and music manager with three children with her 40-year husband, singer Ozzy Osbourne.
In November 2012, she stated that she had undergone a double mastectomy due to her predisposition to breast cancer. Osbourne had colon cancer surgery in 2002, and her recovery was documented on the family’s MTV unscripted series, The Osbournes.
Osbourne left CBS’s The Talk after 11 seasons as a panelist in March 2021 following an on-air dispute regarding racism and repeated claims of racist statements.
