Samsung Galaxy S23 Series: No Under-Display Front-Facing Camera

Samsung is not planning to include under-screen selfie webcam lenses in the next Galaxy S23 range, unlike the Galaxy S22 range. We have several informed assumptions about why the Korean behemoth would not be willing to make this modification, despite the fact that no explanation has yet been provided.

Samsung may not like the graphics performance of under lenses, let alone the price tag associated with making them.

The Galaxy S23 range will not have under-display sensor technologies, as per anonymous distribution network insiders, Ianzuk, a member of the Korean portal Naver, has speculated. Although we might have an idea, he does not specify whether one or any of the individuals of Samsung’s next premium lineup would be excluded from this function or why Samsung is not prepared to implement it.

This Time

Previously, we mentioned that Samsung will update the frontal lens on the Galaxy S23, although never did we imply that the company may introduce under-display technologies across three different versions. Since lenses have not yet advanced to the point where picture clarity is not degraded, it is probable that the Korean technology giant does not relax with this choice. Even Samsung’s rivals ZTE and Xiaomi have tried out similar modifications, but nobody of them has managed to improve the picture clarity of the main camera scanners hidden beneath the screen. Although Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 began with an under-display lens and cost $1,799 in the U.S. Testing team found that this sensor produced a subpar picture that was inappropriate for a cellphone of this price.

Furthermore, given that Samsung will probably deliver many of the Galaxy S23, it is important to note that expanding the production of under-display lenses would be expensive. Consumers who spent a lot of money on these devices will become angry if their shooters deliver a subpar picture.
