When Stranger Things season 4 premiered on Netflix last month, many people were upset about one specific scene. The opening for the show featured a sequence in which Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) walks into her house after escaping Hawkins Lab. The scene ended with Hopper (David Harbour) telling her that her mother was dead and that she was adopted. Hopper then offers to take her away and protect her. Many viewers felt that this ending was not appropriate for Eleven, who had rebelled against the government and had killed people. The scene in question was changed for the final episode of the season, which aired on July 4th.
In the new version of the scene, Eleven is seen walking into her house, and Hopper is not there. Instead, she finds a note from him that says he’s gone to find her mother. Hopper has also left his gun behind so that she can defend herself if necessary. This change has drawn criticism from some viewers who feel that it changes the overall message of the show. However, it is still unclear what happened to Hopper after he left Eleven’s house in the original version of the scene. For those of you who have not watched Stranger Things
Why Will’s Artwork Doesn’t Have Eleven
There’s been a lot of debate online over why the painting in Season 1 of Stranger Things doesn’t have Eleven painted on it. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunners Matt, and Ross Duffer explained that they changed the ending scene because they felt it would be more effective if Eleven wasn’t actually there. They went on to say that the new ending “gives more payoff” for viewers.
Some people are upset with this change, believing that it undermines the importance of Eleven’s role in the story. Others feel that the new ending is better overall and provides a more satisfying conclusion to the series. Ultimately, it’s up to each viewer to decide whether they prefer the old or new ending.
How Stranger Things Season 4 Imposes Up Will & Eleven’s Ending Arc
In Stranger Things Season 4, the ending to Eleven’s arc is changed slightly. Originally, Will was going to return to Hawkins after he and Eleven escaped the Upside Down and were rescued by the government. However, in the final scene of Stranger Things Season 4, Will instead goes back into the Upside Down with Eleven. This change sets up a possible future in which Will and Eleven are still stuck in the Upside Down together.
This possibility is hinted at when we see a vision of Hawkins in the Upside Down in Season 3. In this vision, we see that everything has become corrupted and dark due to the evil forces that were released from the laboratory. It is possible that this corruption will continue to spread until both Will and Eleven are killed or trapped in the Upside Down forever. If this happens, it would be a fitting end for their story as they have been one of the most important characters on Stranger Things throughout its four seasons.
What is Stranger Things?
Stranger Things is an American science fiction thriller television series created by the Duffer Brothers. It premiered on July 15th, 2016, on Netflix. The series follows the investigation of a young boy who is found in Hawkins, Indiana, after being missing for eight years. His friends and family are perplexed by his return and soon realize that he is not who he seems to be.
The first season of Stranger Things ended with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) using her powers to travel back in time and prevent the death of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). However, the Duffers decided to change this ending for Season 2. Instead of Eleven preventing Will’s death, she instead saves him from being killed by the monster known as The Mind Flayer. This new ending preserves some fan-favorite moments from the original script but also introduces new mysteries into Hawkins that will be explored in future seasons.
