Fans of Below Deck Adventure first adored Faye Clarke, but they gradually started to dislike her. The over-the-top mandatory cosmetics and hair restrictions for her other two stews helped the chief stewardess from London win over fans in the beginning. Fans have difficulty choosing a side because she has been at odds with the deck crew all season, particularly bosun Lewis Lupton. Fans are upset by Faye and Lewis’ most recent argument because they believe she is beginning to take advantage of Lewis.
The Below Deck Adventure crew has already experienced its fair share of turmoil, beginning with the dismissal of deckhand Kyle Dickard for inappropriate behavior. Chef Jessica Condy reprimanded Faye and Oriana Schneps in front of the guests after they screwed up an entree for a charter guest. Captain Kerry Titheradge is the only fan favorite because Lewis and his deck crew have been perceived as slack during the season. Because Faye and Lewis appear to be having difficulty in their separate leadership roles, fans are unimpressed with the crew.

Despite the criticism this season has received from certain fans thus far, Faye and Lewis’ conflict has kept viewers interested. At the outset of their argument, many fans supported Faye because Lewis didn’t seem willing to pitch in and work as a team. Additionally, he ignored their agreement to meet at the picnic to play games with the charter guests. However, Faye’s admirers have subsequently turned against her. Viewers of Below Deck Adventure have accused her of being incompetent since she has insisted repeatedly on helping the deck staff. The absence of interesting cast members this season has been criticized, as deckhands, Michael Gilman and Nathan Morley barely get any screen time.
