Star Trek Prepares Wesley Crusher for His Epic God War Entry

Star Trek

Wesley Crusher hasn’t participated in the unfolding god-war in Star Trek yet, but the most recent issue of IDW’s new Star Trek comic suggests he might. Wesley is a member of the incredibly strong Travelers and can travel through space and time with just a thought. He was last seen on TV during the second season finale of Star Trek: Picard. His skills are likely to place him in the god’s sights, killers, and Star Trek #3 suggests he might join the effort to end their murderous rampage.

Gary Mitchell and the Crystalline Entities have already fallen victim to an unknown force that is eradicating the godlike creatures of the Star Trek world. The Prophets send Captain Benjamin Sisko back to Earth to identify the offender. Starfleet welcomes him back but under several restrictions, one of which is that he must consent to regular physical and mental health examinations. She becomes frustrated with Sisko’s attempts to interfere with her during a therapeutic session with Dr. Beverly Crusher.

She summons her son, Wesley, stating he had an experience akin to Sisko’s, and discusses some of the extraordinary beings she has encountered. Then, Sisko asks Doctor Crusher if his interest in her is related to his ability to assist in finding Wesley. Before continuing the counseling session, Crusher pauses for a brief period without speaking. Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing wrote the story for the issue, illustrated by Ramon Rosanas and Joe Eisma, colored by Lee Loughridge, and lettered by Clayton Cowles.

Wil Wheaton’s Wesley Crusher left the show after the fourth season and was a regular on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Wesley Crusher, the doctor on board the Enterprise, was born with extraordinary abilities in physics and engineering. He quickly joined the bridge crew. Later, he departed the Enterprise to attend Starfleet Academy. He lost faith in Starfleet throughout his difficult tenure there.

When his friend, an entity known as the Traveler, whom Wesley initially met in the show’s first season, approached him, he was considering joining the Maquis. Wesley left our plane of existence to join the Travelers at the end of the episode after he revealed that he has special skills. He reappeared in the Star Trek: Picard season two finale, providing viewers with a compelling look at his supernatural skills.

Wesley Crusher is almost certainly the God target. Killer’s

Doctor Crusher does not expressly state that she joined Sisko’s crew to find her son, but the scene suggests that Wesley will be involved in the oncoming god war. Travelers are strong beings able to perceive numerous histories, move smoothly through space and time, and live forever. Such abilities almost definitely make the Travelers targets for whatever it is that is eradicating the godlike creatures in Star Trek.

Some of the most potent characters in the franchise, including Gary Mitchell, have been quickly dispatched by this god-killer. Gary Mitchell was in a league above the Travelers because of his ability to build solar systems, but he still lost. Like the Crystalline Entities destroyed entire worlds, the god-killer did so with ease. The Travelers and Wesley Crusher then have what chance?

The ongoing god battle in Star Trek will undoubtedly result in more deaths. More and more groups, like the Q, are fleeing in fear of what is to come, but Wesley Crusher hasn’t shown up yet. However, Star Trek #3 confirms that he will participate in the god battle before it is through, hopefully in a way that doesn’t lead to a catastrophic conclusion to his saga.
