Apple also revealed that users spent “more than ever” on the App Store between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, without disclosing the overall amount spent by all customers during that time period.
The Cupertino-based firm says that developers had earned more than 260 billion dollars since the App Store was launched in 2008. This is an increase of more than $60 billion (approximately Rs. 4,43,300 crore) since Apple first disclosed the figures last year.
Apple updates its listings of the most popular downloaded games and apps on the App Store on a regular basis. In January 2018, Apple revealed that developers have received $86 billion (approximately Rs. 6,35,400 crore) since the launch of the App Store in January. This also indicates that the figure had climbed by more than $170 billion (about Rs. 12,56,000 crore) in the previous four years.
