Following his incendiary remarks against Meghan Markle in a column for The Sun, Jeremy Clarkson has released a statement.

On Monday, the host of “Clarkson’s Farm” sent a statement on social media expressing his horror at having “inflicted so much hurt.”

I’m sorry. I’ve kind of put my foot in it,” tweeted Clarkson. I made an inappropriate comparison between a Meghan-related incident and a Game of Thrones episode, which has infuriated many people. I’m horrified to have caused this much harm going forward. I will exercise more caution.

I loathe her, the former “Top Gear” host wrote of Markle.

“I despise her. One day, Harold the glove puppet will reveal the truth about A Woman Talking B*ks.” in Clarkson’s column from December 16. Not that I despise Rose West, the British serial killer, or [Nicola Sturgeon, the head of the Scottish National Party]. I detest her to my very core.

He stated, “At night, I can’t sleep because I lie there, gritting my teeth and dreaming of the day when she’s made to march nude through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds yell, Scream “Shame!” and hurl feces at the woman. In the popular “Game of Thrones” episode, Lena Headey portrayed Cersei.

In his weekly column for The Sun, Clarkson claims Prince Harry no longer has “control” over his behavior, largely because of Markle. He continues to fret over the royal family’s future, which he thinks will be severely harmed by Markle and Prince Harry’s claims in the six-hour documentary series, which ended on December 15.

Emily Clarkson, a writer and podcast host, made it clear on her official Instagram story on Sunday that she disagreed with her father’s remarks.

Emily Clarkson states, “My opinions are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying, and the treatment of women by the media.” “I want to be quite clear that I reject what my dad said about Meghan Markle, and I continue to support individuals who are the target of online vitriol,” she said.

Earlier, Emily Clarkson wrote that the Mail Online was “hellbent” on “destroying” Markle.

Amazon Prime Video, Clarkson’s main partner, has not yet commented on the behavior of its star presenter and is not inclined to do so. A source informs variety that neither Amazon Prime Video nor Clarkson would respond to the remarks.

When the BBC terminated connections with Clarkson in 2015 after the host assaulted one of the show’s producers, Prime Video stepped in to pick up “Top Gear.” The network paid a heavy price for the breakup because “Top Gear” brought in a huge global audience and was worth more than £50 million annually.

Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, responded to the remarks by saying, “Jeremy Clarkson should well know that words have consequences. His use of language is not humorous; rather, it is reckless and unacceptable. Violence against women and girls is rising, and men with influence should act differently.

Presenter Carol Vorderman of television penned: “NO Jeremy Clarkson. Under no circumstances is it acceptable to write such sexism about any woman, and it is untrue to say that “everyone my age believes the same.” In no way. We CERTAINLY DO NOT hold the same views. Take attention to the noise, Jeremy. The people are chanting, “Shame on YOU.”
