Natalie Portman’s comfort was considered when designing Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor suit for Thor: Love and Thunder. Portman, who has played Jane since the first Thor, eventually had her big break when she obtained Thor’s broken hammer. Jane received all of Thor’s superhuman skills, along with the power of Thor, as well as her clothing. She utilized her new abilities to join Thor in his fight against Gorr, the God Butcher. She had incurable cancer, but because she could pass away as a warrior, she could spend eternity in Valhalla with other Asgardian warriors who had also died in battle.
Although Jane’s outfit could have been more comic-accurate, it allowed the character to stand on her own two feet and showcased her physical change. Given that Natalie Portman is a vegan, as a costume designer for Thor: Ragnarok and Love and Thunder, Mayes C. Rubeo revealed in a recent interview with Deadline the appearance is even more impressive. See what she said below:
Can Jane Foster from Natalie Portman Return to the MCU?
Even though Jane Foster has officially passed away in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, death is not always the end in comic books. Foster is presently taking advantage of her time in Valhalla with Heimdall. Since Idris Elba’s character appeared in Thor: Love and Thunder after dying in Avengers: Infinity War, it is not altogether unreasonable to think that Foster will be able to do the same. In the comics, Jane was brought back to life after death when Thor and Odin used the God Tempest contained in Mjolnir. If Thor can learn how to fully utilize the powers of Mjolnir without Odin’s assistance, Jane Foster can be brought back to life, much like her comic character in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Even if Foster isn’t brought back to life after Thor: Love and Thunder, her tale isn’t ended. She can go on excursions in Valhalla with the other warriors. Foster isn’t an Asgardian like the other inhabitants of Valhalla. Thus a story between him and Heimdall may be intriguing. If Marvel would rather keep Valhalla a mystery, the studio can still utilize a variant to reintroduce the character. However, exploring the reality of Valhalla can also allow Marvel the chance to bring back the old Asgardian civilization. The MCU can bring Foster back as a legacy version of Thor just by taking advantage of their new multiversal advances, as so many MCU legacy heroes are set up for Phase 7 and beyond.
What’s Next For Thor?
There is currently no information on when Thor will make another appearance in the MCU. With each new MCU initiative, Kang’s multiversal attack becomes greater significant, but Thor has not yet joined the conflict. So, even while he’ll probably feature in the upcoming MCU epics Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, the character could also appear in other unannounced Phase 6 projects. Foster may probably replace Hemsworth in Hemsworth’s subsequent film because Hemsworth has made it clear he wants his final appearance as Thor to be in Thor: Love and Thunder. They won’t need to make many changes because Jane Foster owns her Thor suit.
