The villain Blastaar seeks to become the next Thanos in a new one-shot featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy, with plans to take over the Marvel Universe.
The Guardians will cope with their own internal challenges in Marvel Comics Guardians of the Galaxy: Bane of Blastaar #1 as Blastaar launches an attack on the galaxy, attempting to become a nemesis on Thanos’ level.
Marvel Comics (via @AIPT) revealed a new one-shot focusing on the Guardians of the Galaxy as Blastaar emerges as a danger attempting to seize control of the galaxy on Monday.
The villain, who hails from the Negative Zone, will “start a fresh inquisition” in his quest to become a Thanos-level danger while the Guardians unite to oppose him. On the other hand, the Guardians of the Galaxy have their own issues since the team does not look to be in a good place, especially to take on a cosmic evil that wishes to rule the universe.
For The Marvel Universe, Blastaar has become a huge threat.
Blastaar, unlike Thanos, Annihilus, and Galactus, isn’t a well-known name among casual Marvel Comics readers, yet the villain plays a crucial part in the Marvel Universe.
Blastaar, who first appeared in Fantastic Four #62 by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, lives in the Negative Zone and has fought the Fantastic Four and the Avengers on multiple occasions as he attempts to conquer the Earth.
Blastaar is a tank of a villain with nearly limitless stamina and durability, making him impossible to defeat. Blastaar is vying for Thanos’ role in the new Guardians of the Galaxy tale, in which he attempts to take over the galaxy.
