Sumeru has approximately 20 underground sections, and getting to them can be difficult for those unfamiliar with the entry spots.
The bulk of these does not have particular criteria, such as Inazuma’s Enkanomiya or Liyue’s Chasm in Genshin Impact, although a couple is obstructed by quest progression.

Sumeru’s Underground in Genshin Impact is depicted on an interactive map created by HoYoLAB.
HoYoLAB’s official Interactive Map tool displays Sumeru’s underground locations in Genshin Impact, including those added with Desert of Hadramaveth in Version 3.4.
Players may now access the map via the browser or app version of HoYoLAB and activate the “Underground Map” function, which overlaps the underground locations on top of the original map. It makes it much easier to find certain locales, such as Genshin Impact’s City of the Deceased Domain.
Quest progression prevents access to a few locales, such as Abdju Pit in the Great Red Sands and The Orchard of Pairidaeza in the depths of Mt. Damavand.
To uncover the entirety of Sumeru’s subterranean in Genshin Impact, players must begin and proceed through the tasks related to each section.
It’s worth noting that the underground map function is only available in Sumeru. Therefore it can’t be utilized to explore the Araumi region in Inazuma, where players can meet foes like the Perpetual Mechanical Array in Genshin Impact.
In addition to the underground filter in Genshin Impact’s official Sumeru map, players can use the sub-menu to activate Waypoints, Enemies, Resources, Puzzle Chests, Open-World Chests, and other features.
It can provide them with a more accurate and specific awareness of the whereabouts of certain elements, such as the new Sand Grease Pupas, many of which are underground, and the new Consecrated opponents in the Desert of Hadramaveth.
The subterranean filter for Genshin Impact’s Sumeru region is not presently available in-game, but having access to it via HoYoLAB can greatly improve one’s exploration experience.
