According to Deadline, Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White, the stars of the Netflix original series Wednesday, will reunite for the upcoming romantic comedy Winter Spring Summer and Fall from The Motion Picture Corporation of America.
Tiffany Paulsen, a screenwriter, will direct the love story in her feature picture directorial debut. It is advertised as “Before Sunrise meets The Perks of Being a Wallflower” in the winter, spring, summer, or fall.
The plot centers on Ortega and Hynes White as two teenagers on the verge of maturity who meet and fall in love over the course of four major days in the year. Dan Schoffer, who wrote the screenplay for The Chair, had Paulsen make adjustments.
“We’re delighted to be further diversified MPCA’s robust schedule with Winter Spring Summer or Fall,” said MPCA’s Brad Krevoy in reference to the feature.
He went on to praise the production crew for the new movie, stating, “Jenna incredibly gifted as an actor and producer.” and we know both she and Percy will bring heartfelt depth to their roles. This, along with Tiffany’s experience with character and her vision for this film, will only enhance the brilliant script from Dan.
Along with Josh Shader of Wall Fly and David Wulf, Krevoy is the film’s producer, and Ortega serves as the executive producer.
Tim Burton‘s Wednesday, a contemporary interpretation of the iconic Addams Family character, is riding high on success, and Ortega and Hynes White are benefiting from this.
The show among the top three most-viewed shows on Netflix and is breaking and creating many records. It’s been more than a billion hours. Hynes White plays her friend Xavier Thorpe, who has the capacity to bring his paintings to life, while Ortega assumes the role of the title character.
In addition to HBO’s The Fallout and the Ti West horror movie X, Ortega has appeared in several other films. She will next be seen in Scream 6, Finest Kind by Paramount, and Miller’s Girl by Lionsgate, both of which will be released in March.
Although Hynes White has appeared in movies like Edge of Winter and A Christmas Horror Story, his leading role as Andy Strucker in Marvel’s The Gifted is likely his most well-known.
Paulsen has also penned romantic comedy movies for Netflix and Amazon, including Holidate and About Fate, which starred Emma Roberts and was bought by MGM. Additionally, she was successful in persuading New Line to accept her idea for the movie The Distance from Me to You, which would star Sabrina Carpenter. Winter, Spring Summer, or Fall are in good hands with such excellent personnel behind the feature.
