Wes Bentley, the actor of Yellowstone, believes the series will not have a happy conclusion anytime soon. The proprietors of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch have been in hot water, and things are only getting worse as John Dutton (Kevin Costner) contemplates selling the family ranch. As the Duttons continue to feud, the program seems to be moving in a darker path.
While Bentley would want a happy ending to the program, it does not appear on the cards. With rumors that the Kevin Costner-led Yellowstone series is ending, the primary program may not include a warm family reunion. After all, in an interview with TVLine, Bentley said that Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan assured him that the Duttons would not find peace. Look out for the following quote from him:
What Happens to the Yellowstone World After the Show?
Yellowstone’s time with Costner is over, but the cosmos isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. After all, even if Costner is departing the production, there are still more episodes to come. As they labor together to finish the Yellowstone chronology, they are filling out the history of the Dutton family over several generations.
The beginning of the family line may be traced back to 1883 when the Dutton ranch was founded. Other spin-offs, such as 1923 and 6666, are populating the rest of the earth. The number 6666, called “Four Sixes,” is building yet another modern-day ranch in Texas. The universe may expand without the Duttons’ involvement since it is no longer restricted to Montana.
Yet, Costner’s departure from Yellowstone marks a watershed point for the franchise. Yellowstone has become a cultural phenomenon as the top series due to the fierce infighting between the contemporary Dutton family. While each of Yellowstone’s subsequent series will be unique, they will all preserve the neo-Western motifs and familial drama that have made the show so popular.
